As I sit here in our office listening to Ben sing and play the piano, I am blown away by the past week. Today marks us being in Texas for one full week and my what a busy week it has been! This time last Sunday, we were finally eating after a day full of driving and unpacking in the hot Texas sun with my family. We are now almost completely settled into our apartment with just some clothes boxes left to unpack. Ben has graciously hung curtains in all the rooms and all the pictures I currently have ready to be hung at this time. We have been grocery shopping and found three stores that each have different things that are cheaper and are not far from our apartment or each other. We have met lots of our neighbors and are excited about getting to know them better. I have a job and Ben has spent hours studying already.
I say all this to expound upon what an incredible and wonderful God that we have and serve! We could not have had such a productive and great first week in Texas if it were not for our marvelous heavenly Father. If this is what He had in store for us in the first week, I can’t imagine what He has in store for the next 2 to 3 years and I’m so excited to see where He’s going to take us on this journey of life!
Even in the midst of being away from my beloved family and friends and missing the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, God has given Ben and I so much to be thankful for and so many reasons to be joyful in Him! While it’s only just begun, I already love our adventure in Texas and am trying to remember to thank God as much as possible.
