Covering Kerith

on April 14, 2014

My last post was a little while ago…sorry for that…but it was about Kerith Children’s Home in Pallisa Uganda. On that note, I have some exciting news to share!  I have started a blog called Covering Kerith in order to help raise awareness as well as support for the ministry Samuel and Mercy have in Pallisa! I am very excited to be able to come alongside such an amazing ministry that God is doing incredible work through and I would love for you to join me in the process!

I will not stop posting on this blog however!  Life has slowed down to a somewhat normal pace for us again and will continue to slow down as Ben’s semester wraps up.  His last day of classes is 2 weeks from Wednesday.  After that and some exams he will have finished up his first year of seminary!  It seems odd that he’s almost done with his first year.  On one hand, it feels like we’ve lived in our current apartment forever, it feels so much like home and it feels like Katie, a God given kindred spirit, has lived next door for a long time.  It seems crazy that it’s just been a year ago that we were living in Weaverville, I was teaching math, we hadn’t even been to Uganda yet; so much has changed in just one year!  On the other hand, this school year has flown by and I can’t believe we’re already approaching the summer!

Is this year going by quickly or slowly for you?  Have you reached any mile stones in the past year?

Here’s to looking forward to what God has in store for each and everyone of us over the rest of 2014!

Don’t forget to check out my new blog, and share it with people! Here’s the link:

With love,

It always feels like from February on, the end of the school year quickly approaches. Then summer flies by and I am planning for the school year again. I can’t think of any milestones except the birth of Eleisha 🙂 He just started recognizing his name yesterday…you say his name and he turns his head.

  2. That’s precious! Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂
